River Elk

River Elk, 2004, steel, dimensions variable. Four sculptures  installed along the banks and in a river. Sculpture Now’s annual group public art show, the theme of this exhibition was ongoing environmental recovery of the Housatonic River from industrial pollution. This installation invokes the feeling of migratory impulse, the animals entering and crossing the river, undeterred by this border.
